Angel Greenham

Angel’s practice is driven by principles of reduction, clarity, and simplification. By distilling visual elements to their essence, she creates compositions that foster a meditative stillness

Through hard-edged forms, layered structures, and contrasting colour, her work can feel both immersive and meditative — at times overwhelming the viewer with pulse and pattern, at others allowing space for the eye to slow and the mind to wander. This interest in how we experience and move through work extends beyond the visual and includes collaborative, sensory-led projects such as immersive tea tasting events. Her practice is increasingly informed by the stratosphere — a space that offers distance from Earth and a radically altered perspective. This fascination with scale, perception, and orientation underpins ongoing bodies of work that draw on scientific research and data as a way of rethinking how we locate ourselves within wider systems.Alongside her practice, she is an Associate Lecturer in Creative Arts Practice and has been a mentor at Bath Spa University for over four years. She also offers one-to-one creative mentoring, supporting artists to develop confidence, direction, and self-initiated ways of working.Awards

Creative Mentoring
I offer one-to-one mentoring for artists and creative practitioners who want to develop their work in self-directed and meaningful ways.
Alongside my own practice, I’ve been a mentor at Bath Spa University for over four years and an Associate Lecturer in Creative Arts Practice. I hold a Masters in Fine Art and have supported artists through questions of confidence, direction, and sustaining a creative practice beyond formal education.A key part of my work is about creating opportunities rather than waiting for permission. Throughout my practice I’ve initiated projects — from founding a magazine that enabled me to interview artists I admired, to curating an international exchange exhibition in Japan in collaboration with a Japanese curator and Lecturer from Sangyo Osaka University. These experiences shape how I mentor others.Sessions are conversational and reflective, focusing on helping you trust your ideas, develop projects that align with your values, and find ways of sharing your work that don’t rely solely on competitive open calls. This mentoring may be useful if you:Feel stuck or uncertain about directionWant to build confidence in your ideasAre navigating life after graduationAre interested in making your own opportunitiesSessions are offered online and can be booked as one-offs or in short blocks.
